Your "Plan" Isn't Always the Best One & Why That's Okay!

Most of us can agree at some point or another that they didn't want to hear any of that. I did once or twice LOL, stubborn 🐂 over here too. When it's your greatest wish to do something or have something & you pray upon it, travel a few thousand miles with 2 under 2 and then you get a little crushed......I ain't lying, I was blubbering LOL. I'll explain below. ⬇️

Let's take a time hop back to July 2022. My son was 6 months old and my daughter was 1.5 years old, we were heading out on our first major solo family trip (drive) to North Carolina to buy land. We had the cashiers check in hand and couldn't wait to see the property. The agent had assured us our camper could drive onto the land, as in mostly level with the road. Ok so fast forward we are there, (I'll eventually have to do a separate post on traveling with 2 under 2😅) the land had to have been 20 ft tall, ABOVE US. We were like wow that dude is a *bag 🤬 and we just drove on this major trip with the intention of it all working out. Even I knew that land was a no go and I just felt really "off" to be honest. We called around and the next day saw NINE different properties that were absoluetly horrible🤣, either a steep cliff above ya or below ya. Oh yeah including those big puppers who tried to take us out 🐶🐶on one. Jake & I were pretty devastated but we agreed to see other places while we were here, making the most of it🤷‍♀️. Tennessee had been on my family's radar growing up for well over a decade. Initially we had ruled TN out because my father had loved South Carolina so much and his sister had lived there for two decades. While we were in NC, it opened up again, I told Jake let's Go to TN, look at land there instead. Why not? We are already down south. Called my parents, told them the new plan and ventured south west.

We drove all over central and eastern TN but barely, have you seen TN on a map LOL?🤩  It will take us a while to fully explore, love that part! Fall in love with Tennsessee did we? Yes, Ma'am. While there we got to view three different properties, all of which terrible, terrible pieces of property LMAO. Now here's the part where I really start feeling defeated about our dreams of buying land down south. Tears rollin' from my little baby eyes LOL, talking to God, just trying to understand why go through this then? In my head I kept telling myself just focus on land you want in TN, not that fact it didn't work out THIS time. Really was trying hard now & still am to just let the feelings be there, then work through them. The four of us headed back to MA to reconfigure what the next move was. Jake told me not to worry, but that's not me. I prayed about the situation, to have God guide us in the right direction if this was right for us.

✈️ Let us fly to October 2022, I'm back at work part time and when I could was Zillowing all the time for land. On my laptop, here Zillow was pulled up and I found it, five acres in a 'perfect for us' small, southern town🥰. I called Jake, then the listing agent, confirmed it was what we were looking for. I had a co worker cover my second shift for Tuesday, Jake had to be back in time for me to go to work Friday. The trip was 1.1k miles, 16 hours one way. Here's one way the universe has your back, Jake's tractor had been up for sale for about week before this happened. That tractor sold after we found this property and it sold for MORE. True fricken story.

So Jake slept in his car then called me on Wedensday when he met with an agent to view the property.  It was perfect.

It was ours.

This is divine timing

This is when your plan isn't always the best and why that is aye OK.

 Have faith always

 Erin🖤
